D: ahh! A finished piece!
This was actually my homework for my 2D color theory class. It was ironically enough FUN to do! The next homework is going to be fun too. The work had to be in acrylic paints, and this was my first time using acrylic paint for something like this. I MIGHT redo it but in watercolor, something I'm a little more familiar with. Nonetheless I'm quite pleased with the result, it came very close to how I pictured it. The image is a lot bigger than this, I had to scan it in pieces and I still didn't quite get everything. Critique welcome, though I don't think I'll be doing too many more acrylic paintings, depends really. Critiques
The hair flows well, and has good shading, but is a little too similar in colour to the background. The face looks very good, but is far more detailed than the rest of the piece, and so looks a little incongrouous. I really like the depth of the snow.
A fantastic traditional piece!
